Want to avail the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Yojana? Then complete this work first, otherwise..!

Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the government deposits money into farmers’ accounts every four months. The government paid the 21st installment in November. Now, officials and media reports suggest that the government may announce the 22nd installment in February 2026.

Farming in India is a risky system as farmers often face financial pressure due to fluctuations in weather, seeds and medicines. In such times, the Central Government’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana provides great relief to farmers. Through this scheme, the Central Government pays ₹6,000 to farmers in three separate installments during the year. The government deposits this amount directly into the farmers’ bank accounts. The government has paid 21 installments till now and the farmers are waiting for the 22nd installment.

Usually, there is a gap of four months between two installments. The government deposited the 21st installment into farmers’ accounts in November and is likely to release the 22nd installment in February. Although the government has not made any official announcement yet, farmers must complete certain mandatory procedures before the announcement. Otherwise, the government may stop the installment amount.

E-KYC must be completed

To prevent various types of fraud in government schemes, the government has made e-KYC mandatory. If you want to continue receiving benefits under the government scheme but have not completed your e-KYC, the government may stop the 11th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The farmer himself can do e-KYC sitting at home on pmkisan.gov.in or can go to the nearest CSC and update his e-KYC. E-KYC uses Aadhaar-based verification to ensure that the benefit reaches the right beneficiary. This simple yet crucial step helps farmers receive the PM Samman Nidhi Yojana installment on time and without interruption.

This problem will happen if you miss the land inspection

Only farmers who have cultivable land registered in their own name can receive benefits under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Land verification is mandatory to avail the benefits of this scheme. Through this process, the information given in the record is verified to ensure that the land information is correct. Often, problems arise in availing the benefits due to old documents, so it is necessary to update and verify your land documents at the local level. Not completing this process may delay your installment payment.

Check DBT in bank account

Under most government schemes, authorities transfer all payable amounts directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts. This process is known as DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). If DBT is not active in your account, the authorities will not transfer the money. To verify whether the DBT status in your bank account is active or inactive, you need to visit your bank’s home branch. If the status appears inactive, get it activated immediately. To get the benefit of this scheme, correct bank details, Aadhaar linking with the bank account and DBT status, these three things will determine whether you are eligible for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the next 22 months.
