Itanagar as a Smart City
Itanagar is the capital of the 24th state of the Indian Union, Arunachal Pradesh it was named after the Ita Fort, which means the Fort of Bricks it means the town of bricks. The city is located behind the Banderdewa foothills. The Papu Nallah River flows by it.
Administratively, Itanagar is in the Papumpare district. Previously, Itanagar used to stand for Naharalgun, as the present town of Itanagar was known as the new Itanagar. Currently, Neww Itanagar is called Itanagar, while the satellite town is transformed into the twin capital of Naharalgun and Itanagar.
